Eurila Cave

Born in California, raised in Brooklyn, NY, Eurila is a mother, lover, and creator. As the sole proprietor of Cali York Photography, a portrait and event photography business her passion for documenting her life started when she was 13. Since starting her own business in 2011, Eurila has photographed hundreds of New Yorkers; famous, notable, and unknown. Her client roster includes recognized brands like UBS, McDonalds, Lincoln Center, every branch of government from the NYS Assembly to the US Congress, as well as everyday family portraits, and events. Her work has been published in the MFON Women Photographers of the African Diaspora Journal and featured in every news publication imaginable. The New York Times, the New York Daily News, Forbes, Financial Times, CNN, Variety, Black Enterprise, Daily Mail UK, The Source, Vibe, CNBC, MSNBC, and many local, national, and international publications. Exhibited in the African American Museum of Philadelphia, Danny Simmons Corridor Gallery, and Westfield Oculus at World Trade Center. Her video work also appeared as a part of the Contemporary Muslim Fashion Exhibit at Cooper Hewitt Museum in NYC.

While her approach is documentarian, and journalistic in nature, her inspiration to create comes from natural earth elements like water, the sun, trees, shadows, and the genuine expressions of human beings.
