“I have never wanted to repeat the same work twice ! Reason my subject , style and palette always appear in different series and outlook . I’m eclectic ! Living in several different regions all my life; from country to cities and Africa to the west , these eclectic portraits should not be a surprise except for my strokes and jabbing impasto which make my works appear a bit of 3-dimensional and prominently textural. A piece of art must entertain the viewers . I want my strokes to play this part . I want to defile all the liturgies with impunity if only my viewers are satisfied and absolutely enraptured with my creativity. Take art or love it , I’m Doba Afolabi!”
