Adwoa Baah

Brooklyn-based, London-raised mixed media artist, Adwoa Baah explores her “third culture kid” identity, influenced by her Ghanaian heritage and the mainstream British culture she grew up with. Inspired by abstract expressionists and the Adinkra symbols she’s been fascinated with since childhood, Adwoa brings to life vivid abstracts with bold colours, geometric shapes, and her signature layered triangles. Her mixed media work incorporates oils, acrylics, textiles, and natural materials to create vibrant, layered work that often incorporates West African motifs.
